[ another hour, another refill of mcdonald's coffee. this is a pretty popular place, and even though he somehow missed vash's short stint as an employee he manages to find him here anyway. ]

Vash. [ ... ] Wait do you actually go by Vash the Stampede or is Vash, like, fine?

[piteous]

[ Vash is here with his Big Mac meal. No coffee for him, apparently. Soda instead. ]

Just Vash is fine. It's not like you call Wolfwood "Nicholas D. Wolfwood," right? I think the more hilarious thing would be to call him "Father Wolfwood."

W0 : THURSDAY

[ Vash seems to just be wandering around the city! How will they meet before curfew... oO oo Oo Ooo. ]

in all seriousness, vash may actually find jonas sitting on the basketball court. there's a lit cigarette in his mouth and he's scrolling through his phone, but he at least looks up when he hears footsteps. ]

W1 : MONDAY

[ They sure are at the colosseum, watchin whatever match there is. It is... throws dart, lion taming.

Vash, after having recovered from his tummy ache, has a regular sandwich from the food trucks. ]

[ he's leaning back in his seat, slouched a little but watching the show below. ]

Uh...not in the last century or two, probably. But then again up until yesterday I hadn't seen a guillotine outside of history books.

[ today, we are at the skate park! and by we i mean jonas is already here and seems to be sitting at the top of a halfpipe. he's very content up here, rolling back and forth with a board beneath his feet before he waves at vash. ]

How good are you on wheels?

[ makes jonas part of how vash learned how to rollerblade lore

Vash is here! In a red hoodie and some black cargo trousers tucked into combat boots. Emotions are blipping curiosity and wonder. Skate park. ]

As good as anyone else who hasn't seen these things before?

W3 : TUESDAY

[ Wherever he is, he gives him a wave, but doesn't approach. ]

[ imagine if i said he just turns and walks away.

he does not. instead, jonas is probably walking down the street with a cup of coffee from the mime cafe and blissfully unaware of everything going on. and he waves back? hello? ]

...the emotion feedback loop's over, you know. You don't have to keep your distance. [ it's kind of a joke, but insecurity week also means that jonas is a little unsure about people wanting to be around when his emotions aren't always positive or good. ]

thanks for reaching out, Jonas. i'll survive, but i'm trying to get some food and water in me even though it's kind of hard to work up an appetite. i just want to be ready for tomorrow.

i'm worried about Nahri... she's taking it extremely hard.

this is basically jonas's thoughts. honestly, he's usually pretty happy to see vash! he likes vash! vash is a weird lil guy, but overall it's pretty easy to talk to him. this memory is not. this is not an easy memory. this is not even a good memory, and for a moment jonas is rendered completely speechless as he's watching all of this play out. he has a million questions suddenly, none of which he even knows how to properly formulate, and even though they're both still in this barrier he can't help but openly stare once it finishes. ]

What...was Tesla supposed to be...?

W5 : THURSDAY

[ WE ARE JUST TRYING TO GET BY... Will Jonas let him dress his wounds or injuries anywhere, good sir. They can be wherever Jonas wants to be. ]

[ Confidently apologizes. While we're here, Jonas can see that Vash's hair is mostly black now with only a strip of blond on the front. ]

[ yeah, he will. they're at the outer park, and for vash he will at least take the coat off. he's deaged a few years, not quite where he should be, but it means a lot of little wounds have opened on his arms, back, torso and a few on his face. but he frowns a little at the apology.

and the hair. ]

...there's a lot that apology can be for, man. Which is it?

W5 : FRIDAY

hey, Jonas. you don't need to respond, but i just wanted to check up on you. thought you're probably getting a lot of visits, so text would be better.

i hope you're doing as okay as you can be.

it's funny
usually i'm on the other end of these messages, sending them to people
surprisingly...we haven't seen too many people
i'm not sure how much the others want to right now either
we're about as okay as we can be because not being okay isn't an option
not until we know what happened

[ Where is Jonas? If it's in the new Christmas area, Vash is

cold and his thoughts are very obvious that he's cold, but also Jonas will notice something instantly different about him. I give one tag for you to ooc guess before revealing. ]

wait actually yeah is it that he's not wearing his coat what is going on.

also yes he's in christmas town, he is a child, but some of us are dressed for the weather :\

and i'm not sure if you want to talk or if you'd rather be alone to prepare for tomorrow or if you and nahri are sticking close

[ he wordlessly grabs a skateboard and just. joins vash for a bit to skate around. this is probably not smart while he's still partially injured but whatever he's healing naturally. ]

[ HELp. JONAS. VASH COULD HAVE SKATED BY HIMSELF. I'm definitely healing you next week if I don't see these gone by Monday.
