[ sometime after the q&a, jonas is back at mcdonald's and seems to be grabbing a couple of cups of coffee. while he's busy doing that though, he does happen to catch a glance of netzach over his shoulder and decides he may as well make conversation. ]

Your thoughts now that it's been a few days?

[abstractart]

[hi. he gets a little nod in return as netzach takes a seat with his nuggies, a beer in hand. it's fine.]

...doesn't look like we're that much closer to getting started.

[ idly glancing at the beer, but okay, you do you my dude. ]

We're running out of time, so technically? We're closer. It just means we're not much closer to having clear answers.

[ again, why is the museum so big. who authorized this. why is this happening!!! :yell: these are jonas's thoughts as he once again finds himself walking past a wall of paintings. he stops though, frowning in thought as he squints at the wall dubiously. ]

Okay...definitely passed these already. Unless they're duplicating? [ help. ]

It's easy to get lost in here, huh.

[he says from where he's vibing, looking over this wall of paintings with his hands tucked into his pockets.]

I wasn't expecting it to be this big...

Tell me about it. [ but he will at least go wander to see what netzach's looking at. just to see if it's recognizable or not. ] Museums always have a bunch of rooms and displays, but usually they also have...like...signs and stuff to tell you where to go.

[ meanwhile, in a random place outside. jonas is wandering around still, cigarette in his mouth and very visibly annoyed, but he does at least stop and offer netzach a nod. ]

Here we go again, right?

...yeah. Looks like it.

Starting to look like a regular thing.

Not that I find that surprising, but you'd think maybe they'd pick somebody else.

[ he'd talked about this with somebody else recently, about how it was possible a library would show up. so now that it has, jonas is here solely to cover his bases and say he's explored it.

not that he's a huge fan, but...it's a start. he's looking at the spines of books on the shelves as he rounds a corner, and he nods in greeting upon seeing netzach. ]

I feel like I shouldn't be surprised you're here.

[abstractart]

Probably not. I figured I should see what it was like.

[if the vague sense of curious confusion is any indication? this is not what he's used to in a library. there's a bit of a fainter underlying sense of resignation that's more constant, more low-key.]

Well...all libraries kind of look the same to me, so you'd probably be the expert here. What do you think?

[ he picks up on that sense of confusion, and it's confusion of his own that's briefly reflected back before it's seemingly squashed down again. ]

[hey, sup. netzach is also hanging around somewhere outside. the vibes are-- bad, they're bad, this isn't a case where he wanted to be right. it's just overwhelmingly sad, a little bit of weary, resigned not again.]

...I was still hoping it was just... something else.

[ jonas's own vibes are still gently pulsing as stressed, but for the most part he's calm and empty as he lets cigarette smoke waft around him. sorry, netzach. ]

I mean...I think we all were, man. But when we started running into the same problem with our hypotheticals it stopped looking like it could be something else.

[that's fine. it's a familiar scent, at least; it seems like it's vaguely calming.]

Seems like it's usually just... the easiest option.

[ at the vr room, jonas seems to be looking at one of the headsets like he's debating what he wants to do. but there's netzach, and so there's a little grin. ]

I've heard of VR before. And I've seen it before. But usually there's a set batch of locations. Where would you even start?

Somewhere familiar, I guess.

[he gets a little wave, but not quite a smile. he's too emotionally hungover from the weekend for that.]

...think it'd let both of us see it?

[ sometimes. you just have to shove all of your ugly and exhausted emotions inside and deal with them Later so you outwardly present as trying to get past things.

but that's a question, huh. ]

I don't see why not if we've both got a headset and, like, calibrate for the same location. Seems weird otherwise.

[ cloudtopia is so fucking weird, actually? jonas is sticking to the solid ground, wandering and stopping in front of the weather factory and squinting up at the building. is this how science works...? ]

What do you think a "weather factory" actually is?

Some kind of weather influencing tech, probably.

[he says like this would be a completely normal thing to create.]

[ me wondering how netzach is doing with the snow and missing a leggie, actually, but here we are in front of santa's workshop!

jonas is staring up at it, not quite going in but giving him a curious little look. ]

Well. Never thought I'd see this place, but...kinda wild.
