Not that I find that surprising, but you'd think maybe they'd pick somebody else.

From what it sounds like I don't think any of us were expecting it. Which probably benefits whoever the culprit is, actually.

Benefits them how? Just... in that no one was prepared for it?

Right, exactly. Because who would go after a teenager with no fighting experience as an erasure just for points? You'd think the answer would be nobody, but here we are.

So now we're all stuck wondering who'd want to do this... especially since you wouldn't want to think anyone would go for his team in general.

Might've just been someone who knew how easy the team as as a target from the outside. Or someone who wanted to see how we would react when it was someone pretty well-liked. Or someone who didn't want a hard fight.

It's hard to pinpoint an exact reason right now.
