[ sometime after the q&a, jonas is back at mcdonald's and seems to be grabbing a couple of cups of coffee. while he's busy doing that though, he does happen to catch a glance of netzach over his shoulder and decides he may as well make conversation. ]

Your thoughts now that it's been a few days?

[abstractart]

[hi. he gets a little nod in return as netzach takes a seat with his nuggies, a beer in hand. it's fine.]

...doesn't look like we're that much closer to getting started.

[ idly glancing at the beer, but okay, you do you my dude. ]

We're running out of time, so technically? We're closer. It just means we're not much closer to having clear answers.

[abstractart]

Closer in time, yeah, but not to being ready.

[he shrugs one shoulder, taking a sip.]

And yet you still don't seem that bothered about it in the first place.

[abstractart]

I'm not gonna just spend the whole time worrying about it...

[westedge]

Then what are you planning to do?

[abstractart]

Same stuff I've been doing, I guess? Talking to people is more effort than it looks like.

[westedge]

[ he sort of stares at him. has some thoughts. does not share those thoughts. stuffs some creamers and sugars in his pocket. ]

Oh, don't exert yourself on my behalf. Please. [ a tinge of sarcasm there. ]

[abstractart]

Hey, I'm being at least a little serious about things... if I really wasn't gonna bother, I'd still be sleeping.

[mcnuggie time. he's exerting himself to Some extent... probably.]

[ not sure how someone can sleep that much, but he does not protest. ]

Being awake is the baseline now?

[abstractart]

... pretty much, yeah.

[anyway.]

What about you? Worried you'll run out of time, or think you'll have stuff figured out by then.

[westedge]

I wouldn't call it worried. We're pretty much covered in what we want to do, I think. We might wait another day just to be sure, but...we're further ahead than we were.

[abstractart]

Not too bad, then.

Me and a teammate. We knew we would be on the same one right away, but it's been all about finding two other people.

[abstractart]

Halfway there from the beginning, huh...? Guess it's a decent head start.

[westedge]

Yeah, we knew on Friday so...maybe that helped a little. [ he is aware he had a good head start but he's not thinking too hard about it. ] It's still a big decision to make.

[abstractart]

Especially when most of us just met a couple days ago... just gotta trust you know enough about 'em already.

[westedge]

Isn't that all the more reason to be putting in a little effort to talk to people?

[abstractart]

That's what I'm doing... think yesterday helped a little, at least.

[westedge]

It wasn't a bad question to ask. [ he can admit that. ] Even if the answers weren't the best examples.

[abstractart]

Still says something about them, though, right? Leaves an impression.

[he's not the type who can like, analyze it, but it's a vibe check.]

I thought it might help figure out who I'd be able to work with.

It's good to get a gauge, sure. Did it help at all with what you were looking for?

[abstractart]

...helped enough.

[he shrugs slightly.]

I'm still working on it.

It was at least a step in the right direction. Maybe?
