[ listen he like. vaguely gets there's something fucky going on there but he is truly under the philosophy of "i'm not thinking too hard about this." it's fine. maybe someday he will learn. ]
Have you never been to a real museum before? [ it's a real question because he's aware people are from all kinds of worlds, and he's thinking this might just be another thing he's assuming is normal but really isn't. ]
Yeah, you could say that. There's...a lot of cities where I'm from. And people. [ he squints in thought. ] What happened that caused the world to change?
Confined is probably the closest. Individual districts are still big enough to be their own cities, but when there's not really anything else out there...
There's no point really going anywhere else. Yeah, I think I get it. [ sounds rough though. ] Did you at least get to see other districts a lot? Or was it too hard to travel between them?
Depends on where you're going? Backstreets are usually easy enough to travel in, between districts, but the Nests are more protected. You're more likely to have to pass a checkpoint to get in.
But that's kind of the idea behind the name, I think. They're the areas protected by each district's main company-- those are all called the Wings of the World, so the places they watch over are like their nests. Safest places to live, too.
Same difference then, except you probably can't get kicked out of the nest. [ a pause. ] Can you? Is that a thing that can happen to people where they're just...stuck?

[similar-ish! he's going to just go with that.]
It's easier to see the art in here than it is in books, though.

[it's better not to think too hard about the library, tbh, he has the right idea.]

What kind of school was that...?

[he didn't care so much about that part, though.]

It'd be neat if it were, though, right...?

It all sounds...kind of complicated. Trying to keep up with all of it and making sure things stay stable.
