Very helpful, thank you. [ he says, suddenly remembering what kind of a place netzach is from. ]
Okay. Well, what do you think? Worth taking a look?
[ he doesn't actually get to answer, because at the same moment a pig bursts out of the door of the weather factory, crashing straight past them and locking both of them into a barrier. and with the barrier comes a memory until 1:09:46. ]
netzach is difficult to scare, all things considered, but this is... it's unsettling, in large part to see it happening to alex and jonas. he's seen a little of it already, just not this same memory, and he has to take a second to shake his head and try to clear it.]
[ god. that's...that was really not a thing he wanted to think about again, and he drags a hand over his face to cup his mouth for a second to hide his expression. ]
...that...was definitely one of the least fun things I've ever experienced. But it happened a couple of times. "Okay" is a relative sort of word, but we did seal them back up where they came from if that's what you mean.
Ghosts. Angry, soul-eating, body-snatching ghosts. [ y...ay. ] They'd been on that island for a long time. We just...accidentally brought them out. I guess.
Yeah, they sort of had to in order to try and get what they wanted. They needed vessels, eventually. It was the only way they could have continued their lives.
Yeah, something close enough to that. It's like...they didn't want to actually pass on. I think they were pretty mad their lives were cut short. [ so. you know. ]
But...yeah. Alex figured something out to shut the rift. They're contained again.
Guess I can't blame them for that, but... they still can't just use others for it.
[everyone wants to live, right...?
the pigs are not done with them, though, and in return jonas is getting a memory of netzach's, up to 14:18 i'm sorry this scene is so fucking long. help.]
[ ...well this is kind of on point and also extremely baffling, thank you. he already knew netzach had kind of special circumstances, but this is still a little out of his realm of understanding.
but the overall message isn't, really. he can understand enough of what was being said here. he also can't help but agree. the people who truly wish to die do so quietly and without much warning. but everyone wants to live to a point. ]
...it sort of feels like an insult to have to be here when you come to the conclusion you just want to try living your own life a little more and do more with it for yourself and other people.
...I've had this conversation with someone else. About how being in a place like this is probably forcing a lot of people to re-evaluate how grateful they are to be alive and how to live their lives. I don't think this was the right way to teach that lesson, but I don't doubt that it's happened to a few people.
I got...a little lost on the discussion with Angela. But I think I get the whole point you were trying to make.

[man. his brow's still furrowed a bit in concern.]
Ghosts or something, right?

sure, he gets wanting to live, but that's not right.]
Good thing you guys got that taken care of.

I ended up here.
[a tired little shrug, there.]
I was already tired of how living had to mean others died.
[and of course that's just the situation here too.]
