[that's fine. it's a familiar scent, at least; it seems like it's vaguely calming.]

Seems like it's usually just... the easiest option.

I guess it doesn't help that there's still so many of us who're alive. It means that it's easy to hide in plain sight like that because we aren't looking as hard or able to narrow it down too far. [ ...sigh. ]

Still. The whole thing kind of sucks. A lot.

What, things sucking? Yeah you're not wrong. If we have to deal with something like this each week...it's kind of a pain in the ass because we keep saying we're going to do better next week and then we almost don't. I don't know how to fix something like that.

It's going to either way, though. If we do better... that doesn't change any of this, it just changes how stressful it is to get to the same result.

I do kind of wonder if we got the answer ahead of time if they'd let us leave early. That'd maybe save some stress.
