[ meanwhile, back at bowling for soup, jonas is sort of wandering in on his own and squinting at the rave music that seems to be blasting still. he has a cup of mcdonald's coffee in his hand, and he's doing a sweep of the area when he spots someone he hasn't actually spoken to yet.

okay. brace yourself, jonas. talking to people...is doable. ]

So, a question for you. Do you or do you not know what a bowling alley is? [ hello. ]

Rang turns from where he's surveying the balls (bowling), and raises an eyebrow.]

You must've met a lot of weirdos if you're asking me that.

[ yaywon i'm crying. thank you for specifying which balls, but jonas settles for a short laugh at the response. ]

Pretty sure everybody that's shown up is a little weird. There's been way too many people I've had to teach Smart Phone 101 to since yesterday.

[ ...which. questioning if rang knows how smart phones work but it's too late now! ]

Bowling alleys are a relic of childhood where you go for your end-of-year class parties with greasy pizza and lukewarm soda until that kid who sits in the back of the classroom tries to throw a ball at your teacher. [ very specific. possibly made up. who's to say. ]

[ HELP. let's say they're in the warehouse district since jonas was on his way back, probably. but he does a little 'sup kind of nod to rang. ]

I tried. Not like I found much, but...figured that means somebody else did. Were you?

I was at the subway. With one of your teammates.

I wasn't on the tracks with them though. I found blood leading to the warehouse, and some on the train that almost hit them.

week 0, sunday

Rang has a little plate of Ikea swedish meatballs, because getting a big mac after spending nine hours at McDonalds' yesterday feels like a lot, as if everything else that just happened isn't also a lot.]

[ he has a cigarette in his mouth and he's kind of glaring into space as he approaches rang. ]

...have fun today? [ tiredly. ]

[rang has his hands in his pockets as he walks along, though he slows down at the sound of jonas's voice]

That was a mess.

[ approaches with his hands in his pockets. but they can keep walking. ]

That's putting it really lightly. Nine hours of this and somehow we got even worse. [ a hum. ] At least the hallucinations stopped?

week 2, tuesday

[rang is standing some distance away from the House, his gaze focused towards it -- his emotions are curiosity and intrigue, layered over an almost pervasive feeling of boredom and apathy, but that's fine. these are the emotions edward cullen had before meeting bella, probably,

his gaze flicks immediately to jonas, a sort of pleased surprised at seeing him rising to the forefront, then he points to the house]

Have you been inside yet?

[ hello rang! those really are some interesting emotions. WHY DID YOU DESCRIBE IT THIS WAY ACTUALLY i hate you. anyway, jonas is here, and the surprise kind of surprises him, a little, but it's about the only emotion jonas is emitting. he's surprisingly blank for being a teenager, but it's possible rang can at least pick up on something that's...muted, maybe? like a force applied to covering emotions.

overall though, he doesn't seem unhappy to see rang. just a calm sort of acceptance and curiosity as he looks at the house. ]

Even if I have, I can't say I'm not interested in going back. You know? We didn't get a chance to look that much.

his surprise shifts into interest, because nothing compels rang more than someone trying to hide a part of themselves from him, but maybe that can be applied to this freaky haunted house instead,]

Shall we then? [he gives him a look sidelong,] I promise I won't jump out at you, even if I'm tempted.

so this sucks
i can already guess how matsui is
but how are you doing

[ it's not so much that he thinks rang is sad. it's that he's thinking rang has to be aware that there's only two members of their team left and if one of them goes...that's it. ]

im impressed

[the emotions he'd normally have tried to suppress if jonas was near him are loose, ping ponging back from fury and grief and cold amusement, because of course the idea came to him -- the bitter realization of what this could mean]

i didn't think anyone here would have it in them to get rid of an entire team

it's only been a few weeks
impressed isn't the word i'd use ig
but i am a little surprised somebody's brave enough to pull it off knowing how many people are gonna be pissed off by what this means

week 7 monday

[ he is concentrating and suddenly there is a rang. it means he does jump in surprise though. ]

God, that's going to take a bit to get used to. Rang? [ he blinks a few times. ] This is gonna be a new kind of permanent thing, right?

It's exactly the outcome I was hoping for and expecting, yeah. Like...does it suck that everything is up to Haru and Ylfa? Sure. But I know they'll do a good job listening to everyone's wishes.
