Were you out investigating?

[ HELP. let's say they're in the warehouse district since jonas was on his way back, probably. but he does a little 'sup kind of nod to rang. ]

I tried. Not like I found much, but...figured that means somebody else did. Were you?

I was at the subway. With one of your teammates.

[the name is Setsu.....]

I wasn't on the tracks with them though. I found blood leading to the warehouse, and some on the train that almost hit them.

[ almost immediately: ] Which one? Are they okay?

[ granted he doesn't think rang might really know if he wasn't on the tracks but he knows enough about a train so. ]

Blood. [ he's trying to think up the map of the city in his head. ] Leading out? Nothing coming in?

The blond one.

[rang learn a name, he tilts his head.]

I heard Hikari's body was at the warehouse, so I assumed it was leading out. But maybe it was coming in? I don't remember seeing any footprints.

That--Setsu. Their name is Setsu. [ GOD he will just. have to go check on that later. ]

At least we know where it stopped, but everything in between sounds like we're going to have to put it together ourselves. So the blood was on the platform?

[not me already not remembering where the blood was]

It was in the tunnel and at the entrance, so maybe? I was distracted by how much there was.

[ yaywon i'm crying. it's okay, jonas will never know...but i will... ]

...wonder if they almost got hit by a train, too, if there was blood on it. [ WHY WERE THEY DOWN THERE? ] I'd probably be at least a little distracted, too. We all knew this was going to happen sooner or later, but it doesn't change how it happens.

Did the Reapers give you any details about Thursday nights? I was under the impression that it'd just be a regular day to erase people on.

[that sounds very weird but like the point is he didn't expect the sleep part]

No. [ he hesitates for only a brief moment. ] I asked them a couple of other questions, like what would happen if you tried to erase someone not on a Thursday and everything, but even in asking about how the game worked they never mentioned a lockdown or anything.

Which is weird. Why lock us all in and then everybody falls asleep anyway?

To protect the rest of us from whoever gets to wake up?

[he sounds so dry, like the idea of thursday night murder where only two people get to run around in is somehow lower than the bar he was expecting,]

Or to stop us from interfering, despite it being a team-based game?

[ he's squinting in thought because something rang said just made some sense to him. ]

It's probably so a whole team can't go and target a single person or something like that. So, close. No interference. If erasing somebody earns you points for your team and it's a good amount, it'd probably be like cheating if there wasn't a higher risk involved.

The real question is if Hikari even fell asleep in the first place.

So what, only the killer and the person they wanted to kill stayed awake? And the rest of just went to sleep because we weren't bloodthirsty enough?

[ rang. my guy. there's a shrug. ]

I'm not saying that's exactly it but it's a possibility we can't outrule yet with how things happened. Otherwise then it's a too-weird coincidence it all happened to all of us at the same time. I still just don't get how it would work without some kind of exception to that rule or whatever.
