That wasn't Healing Aura. This is a secret. It hardly matters now, with all of us gone, or about to be. Our team psych allowed us to transform into people we'd seen before. I took a form I'm familiar with at home.

That's correct. He didn't shoot at me... I think he was out of ammunition. That particular body is very sturdy.

Eventually have to wear down sometime. I never did really ask how that thing worked. I guessed it was a weapon some time ago, and I saw it in a memory of his but...always figured that was his business. I figured a lot of things were just his business. [ ... ] You think it's at all possible he just chose not to shoot you in the end because it was you?

[ he doesn't, entirely, but he's curious what her thoughts are. ]

He shot ice bullets at me, I think he was trying to kill me with whatever he had.

[And that's... it hurts a little to think of that, but they're both such deeply stubborn people if it means protecting what's important to them.]

Besides, when it was checked at trial it didn't have any ammunition inside of it.

It's alright. I think it works out better this way. We're from different worlds and I have a lot I need to finish at home.

I don't know if I agree, exactly. [ thoughtfully. ] I mean not about the Wolfwood thing specifically, I mean as an argument for being close to someone like that. Even if you come from different worlds and have things to finish...I don't know. I feel like there's a lot to be said about having that kind of closeness in a time of crisis. I mean again, not that it matters, but....[ what DO you mean jonas. ]

...even when we figure out what to do and you get to go back home, I don't know if having work to do is a good excuse not to try again later with someone else.

I will maybe take that as a compliment, if only because I like Shu. [ hah. ] Circumstances change. People change. There's...things I would have never considered before that I might now. And things I've considered that I won't now.

Change is kind of inevitable. But it still kind of sucks sometimes.

Change comes and people change. Sometimes for the better and sometimes not. It's still interesting to watch.

What do you qualify as interesting in this case?

I enjoy plants and evolution within people.

For example... people who don't trust themselves into people who fully trust in their own decisions and capabilities.
