Only if we'd actually be able to convince people to change things in the first place. A lot of people...felt really strongly about certain things today.
Yeah that's what I'm saying. Rewinding stuff doesn't guarantee that other people are going to remember the choices that were already made. So it'd be about convincing them that to go another direction.
[ ...he's like. not really in the mood to argue, is the thing. he doesn't really agree with her, but he doesn't necessarily disagree either? and normally he'd have the patience and drive to actually talk about that and go over stuff but...

[ likewise, he seems to realize he's taking his frustrations (disappointments?) out on the wrong person and he shakes his head to clear the cobwebs a little. ]
What? Oh, no. It's not...it's fine. I get what you're saying. If people couldn't be convinced by what was right in front of them, they're definitely idiots.
Nope. [ a tired sigh. ] It's just...going to have to be about doing better. [ which they've been saying, but like. when is that going to actually stick? ]
You weren't that close to any of them this time, were you?
It's just another one of the things about it. It sucks to have the threat of erasure hanging above us, but I think people forget how bad it is for everybody who's left behind. [ he flicks a little ash off the end of his cigarette. ]
...don't get too caught up in stuff, Mizuki. There's a lot of things that happen here that you shouldn't have to worry about unless you really want to.
I think you're really the only one who can decide that for yourself. Does it matter what other people think when you're the one who has to live with how you feel about things?

She's not oblivious to that pause, and a lot of her bubbling frustrations goes with it, turning into something with a bit more shame. ]
Sorry, I shouldn't have...
