Well, if we could hit the rewind button on the weekend, maybe we could stop everyone from voting for, you know, the obviously wrong team.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Rewinding stuff doesn't guarantee that other people are going to remember the choices that were already made. So it'd be about convincing them that to go another direction.

They're just idiots if they can't be.

What? Oh, no. It's not...it's fine. I get what you're saying. If people couldn't be convinced by what was right in front of them, they're definitely idiots.

I hang out with Eiden a lot, but that's about it, really.

Eiden's about the only guy I don't know that well. Only spoken to him a few times. Still...pretty brutal to watch how this whole thing went down.

We've known as much for a while. I just wish we had a better way of getting around just how bad it gets sometimes.

But all we can do is endure it.

It's just another one of the things about it. It sucks to have the threat of erasure hanging above us, but I think people forget how bad it is for everybody who's left behind. I talked to Haru about this a little while ago, too. We never...really get time to process the stuff that's going on. We're just forced to keep going and figure it out on the way.

...don't get too caught up in stuff, Mizuki. There's a lot of things that happen here that you shouldn't have to worry about unless you really want to.

Is that really okay, though? To just... ignore things?

I think you're really the only one who can decide that for yourself. Does it matter what other people think when you're the one who has to live with how you feel about things?

... I'd say that depends.

Well, if I'm doing something everyone disapproves of, it doesn't matter what I think. I might still be wrong.

That's a very different situation. I mean the kind where people are split on what to do, not the ones where most people agree without question.

... Well, I don't know. Honestly, a part of me thinks you're only saying it's okay because I'm just a kid.

No, I'd say the same to Kazuki. Or Alex. Or Setsu. [ there's a sigh. ] None of us are really qualified for any of this. We shouldn't have to just pretend that all of this is easy to accept and we're used to it. Or that everybody handles it the same way.
