It's a very complicated thing. [ he genuinely has no idea, but he's once again not about to explain to a 12 year old that sometimes people are just horny. ]

And some people left, too. [ pointing that out, but she does have a point. ] I think some of us had our own reasons for staying, but I think a few people didn't even realize they could go.

...... No, it was pretty screwed up. But not any more messed up than having to sit in the same room as a body for nine hours with little choice but to figure out why.

I'm not sure if it would've been better not to have the body. Some of the others told me it disappeared as soon as they came across it Friday which...we're not sure where it went between then and Saturday. But you're right. Even in real murder cases I'm pretty sure they don't make the court sit with the corpse.

No, they don't, because there are experienced professionals that are supposed to examine the body and deliver an autopsy report to the courtroom.

Yeah, we're sort of lacking a police department here. What do you know about autopsy reports anyway?

About the same as anyone else would... It's not like I've ever looked at one for myself.

Fair. I wonder if we could ask the reapers for one if we're finding bodies the day before anyway. That's enough time to prepare one, isn't it? We might not get that luxury though.

If they're leaving it there for us to look at, I doubt it.

I figure at this rate...we won't really know anything unless we outright ask.

... No, but I'm hoping we don't have to worry about another body anytime soon anyway.

I'm hoping not either. After yesterday people should reconsider it, at least, but...we should be prepared just in case that isn't true.

I know. I get that. [ seriously none of them want to be here, this sucks. ] Just do what you can to keep yourself safe. That's about as prepared as you can get.

Mizuki draws a fist back, and—throws a damn punch at his gut. It's like normal girl strength, but still thrown by someone who knows how to swing. ]

[ i'm sorry to say that he does have reflexes, and since i rolled a 1 and not a 2, the punch connects! except it's in the palm of his hand and not his gut. option 2 was straight up teleporting.

but okay. he shakes out his hand a little because a punch still has some impact, but it's better. ]

Okay. That's...a good sign. [ said in a tone that says "who the fuck taught you to punch." ]

[ Honestly, she just deflates a little, like she's disappointed by the outcome. ]
