I've been asking about that, too. I was really hoping something would change, but the only answer I really got is that it's not a bad idea to have multiple high-ranking teams. If that's the same answer other people got, that could be a motive.
[ which is shitty, frankly. but...ah... ]
...he doesn't think so, really, but he's a good guy. Or...maybe good isn't the right word. But I always felt like I could talk to him about stuff I couldn't really mention to other people. It helped. I think if you know how to talk to him, he's a good friend.
[ She'll file away that information for later, not totally sure of the good it'll do her. ]
He is. It's always easy to talk to him. He's somebody who's easy to like. [ I liked him more, but that's alright. An imbalance in fondness doesn't really bother her. ]
[ one-sided romance...this is his new headcanon, but also somehow that makes this worse. ]
I think he'd disagree, but that just means he's wrong if multiple people feel that way. [ kyoko is so valid. ] ...it makes it harder to really think about who would want to hurt him.
[He could just ask her, but also asking her right now might be a little terrible.]
Right? I can't think of anyone. But... Our choices are limited. [There aren't a lot of people left, and the people who are left are teenagers for the most part.]
[ yes what if he does not ask her right this moment, that's rude. ]
There's sixteen of us left, and at least two or three people guilty. I can't imagine somebody would go on a killing spree for all four last night. But I also have no idea where to even start.
But with four bodies...we should maybe focus on one person and then a location unrelated to that person? Spread the work so we're solving things for different cases instead of bottlenecking into one. Or something.
[ it feels like i still am not great at this even weeks later. ]
I don't think it's selfish. We were pretty focused trying to figure out what happened to Setsu last week. I'd like to find out about Wolfwood, but we can do both. If we get our shit together, we can do all of it.

Okay. I'll do what I can but... [I don't know if I can rest at all tonight.]

Do what you can, but don't pressure yourself. All of us are still here to do what we can, too.
