What's there to find out? I'm dead, and now turning invisible's just part of the package.

I'm not sure those two things are always gonna correlate, but fair enough. Some people are dead and can light things on fire.

Same difference--either way, you can't do that if you're human, only if you're dead, so the stupid message wasn't lying.

For now, doesn't seem that way. Sorry. Not that this is, like, helpful, but at least it's all of us? Sort of puts the second chance thing in a new light, too.

How is it better that we're all dead?!

Because if some of us were alive and some of us were dead, there'd be a way higher chance of one group having an advantage over the other. [ just saying. ] At least this way the playing field's more even.

You really think it's gonna be a contest like in the note?

Without a doubt. The dead thing turned out to be true, didn't it?

[ groans ] Great.

Guess that just means we'll have to win it, then.

So it seems. [ it's been on his mind a lot recently. ] But you're going to have at least nine other teams to beat. What do you think your chances are right now?

[huntressinred]

Don't care, doesn't matter. I'm gonna make this work for me.

Alright. [ alright! ] Do you have any idea who you're working with then?

[huntressinred]

[ face hardening into a frown, but curling in on herself defensively, almost helplessly ]

No. But that doesn't matter! I can even do this alone if I have to.

[westedge]

[ ah. this is how this is going. he'll just...calm down and keep his tone level. ]

It kind of matters. The only way to get out of this is playing by their rules, as much as they suck. You have to have a team or you can't play. So...try to think about that.

[huntressinred]

W-well--who am I supposed to team up with, huh?! It's not like I really know anyone here!

Most of us don't know anyone here. And even those of us who know one or two people still have to figure out a way to fill the voids. Have you had a chance to talk to anybody since we got here?

[huntressinred]

[ scoffs, defensive ]

Of course I have! But just talking to someone doesn't make them a good teammate.

[westedge]

Of course not. That's not what I mean. But it's at least a good way to see if you might be able to get along with them or if they have the same goals and ideas in mind that you do. You don't want to be with someone who doesn't agree with you right off the bat, right?

[huntressinred]

Maybe. Or they could just change their minds and leave me out in the cold once I have to depend on them.

Doubtful, since they'd have to depend on you, too. Team's existences are tied to each other, remember?

[huntressinred]

[ sighs heavily ]

It's not like I've got a choice, anyway.

You figure anything out for your team yet?

[westedge]

I've got one person I'm working with. We're still talking about options for two other people and haven't settled on anything yet. We've narrowed it down a little, but we're taking another day or two to talk to people again.

[huntressinred]

You're really shopping around, huh? What're you looking for, exactly?
