[as probably expected, she's hanging out in the library in the morning, wandering down an aisle with a few books in her arms. what might be a little less expected is that when jonas comes close enough, he'll get a wave of both anxiety and deep, entrenched anger and resentment bordering on rage. it doesn't seem to change the way she gives him a little wave with her free hand and a smile as she sees him.]
[ nerd. he is not at all surprised to see her here, but he is a little caught off-guard by being blasted with both anxiety and anger. it means that libby gets a jolt of surprise that kind of shutters away as he waves back slowly. ]
You know, I'm not sure? Libraries and I aren't exactly close friends. [ stupid. ] But I thought maybe since it's here it might have some kind of answers for what's going on here. Or at least history about past games.
[ a glance at the books in her arms though. ]
Looks like you found some interesting stuff already though.
[there's alarm in response to that surprise, and a new sense of defensiveness coming up at the sensation that she can't explain. there's a beat of indecision, too, as she decides whether to address it or move on. after a moment:]
Oh, uh - that's a good idea. I mean, the thing about past games. [trying and failing at not sounding distracted, before:] Hey... Do you feel strange at all?
[ this is about the moment jonas realizes there's some new bullshit going on, actually. ]
--first of all, yes, that is literally all the time though. But considering that's probably not what you mean...yeah, a little. Like...last week, okay, it took a long time to figure out anything was going on but this is a little more immediate. Like they're not...
[ "like they're not mine" is what he means, but he thinks it sounds crazy instead. ]
[ libby. libby no. the minute he feels the alarm and concern he forces himself to calm down further. it's not going to help if they're both confused and a little freaked out, after all. ]
Like whatever I'm picking up on isn't mine. If that makes sense.
w2, monday.
Hey. Looking for anything in particular?

[there's a sense of mild alarm and concern coming from her end. unfortunately, being smart doesn't make her good at emotions.]

[there's a sense of alarm and growing dread as she realizes what he means.]
But they can't just - they can't do that.

[ spoilers: you cannot. ]

[taking a few steps back to see whether that changes anything.]

I'm not...sure that makes a difference either, Libby.
