Yeah, the wake-up call didn't really help the headache I already had. [ stupid-ass giggling monstrosity. ] But there's an app with a bunch of people's information on it. Pretty sure if they're there, they're the only ones we can actually talk to. Other Players or whatever we are now.
[ he's of two minds here. one, he could be upfront with her and tell her exactly what he's been thinking and how bad things could get. or two, he could curb his speech a little because she's pretty young and give her a more vague overview.
in the end, he compromises between both. ]
I think what we've been told is partially true. We're gonna have to make teams, and those teams are gonna compete against each other for however long the game goes. I don't know if we're really dead, or if the prize is true, but I don't think it's a good idea to risk missing the chance either. If the game's about earning points, then there has to be ways to play that suit some of us more than others. They can't expect everybody to be the same.
Do any of us? [ he kind of hopes not because the idea of people willing to just go into this extremely enthusiastically makes him nervous. it's different if they all know they don't have another choice. ]
If we had another option, I'd be open to hearing that. So far though I haven't heard anything.
Not yet. Nothing says another option won't come up after we start playing. [ which is what sucks. ] As much as I hate to say it, we might have to really follow their rules for a while before finding a loophole.
A team? [ yes, dumbass. ] I have a partner. The two of us are still trying to figure out where to get two other people that might work with us. That's the harder part. But probably the best thing to do is decide what you want in a team and find those people.
Then maybe that's a good place to start. [ people to easily get along with. ] I don't think there's many people that won't try their best here. So that's an easy one. And even if there's a lot of us from different places, there's some overlap. Maybe there're people who're from a place similar to what you're familiar with. Find common ground that way?

I looked at the phone, but that message irritated me so I just... went looking around, instead. But then everyone was just shadows.
