You guys missed out on the sleeping bags too, huh? We ended up stealing a bunch of bedding and those sharks from IKEA when we moved in.

It's been a pretty crazy week. I don't blame anybody for not being organized right away. Plus you kind of got your team a little later, didn't you? One of the reapers mentioned some stuff will probably be restocked or new stuff will come in. Don't worry about it too much.

It's mostly my back that's worried about it.

As someone who's been sleeping on the floor all week, too? Definitely get a shark. They're a lot squishier than you'd think.

Alright. I'll go grab some later. They do look pretty cozy.

Even when we get beds later they won't be the worst thing to have around. [ sometimes you just like things you can squish, it's fine. ]

...you doing okay after all that? Nine hours is a long time to be in one place like that.

I'm fine, it was just exhausting to watch. I don't know why we all had to be there for it...

Part of their game rules, for better or worse. It's probably about them making things fair for everybody and to give everyone a chance to find the culprit.

Sheesh... I'm a grade schooler, not a detective.

Yeah you'd think there'd be an exemption of some kind. But we're all a part of this now so guess everybody has to pull their weight. But you could ask the reapers for any advice for next time.

... What, would they really give any?

They might. I asked them for their opinions on stuff and some advice on the game itself and they gave it. I don't think they're, like, not allowed if we ask.

Oh. ... Maybe. I mostly kept to myself—everyone looked like they knew what they were doing, so...

I can promise you, Mizuki, that none of us had a clue what we were doing or we probably would not have spent so long sniffing clothes and stabbing ourselves.

... Okay, some of you looked like you knew what you were doing.

There's a couple of people who're used to solving mysteries, I guess. They were trying to organize stuff. And then there were people who've never had to do any of this at all that were floundering. And then the people in the middle who have never done anything on this level but could figure it out on the way.

Guess we need all three to get anywhere.

Maybe... I'm used to seeing the police handle this kind of stuff. They would never let unrelated people mess around with all the evidence...

Yeah the...caution tape and stuff they put around. [ he can get the point, he has seen enough examples. ] I don't know if that makes us the police now or not, but I don't think that's changing anytime either.

I'm a little too young to become a police detective, I think.

I think you're a little too young to have to deal with any of this, period, but...here we are. [ there's a huff. ]

But...your team's taking care of you, aren't they? You're getting along okay?

I've only really talked to her once. But I got that impression. [ amongst other things. ] But it's not...all bad, right?
