...I've never ridden a horse or steered a sleigh before, but how hard can it be? It's probably pretty self-explanatory.

IMAGINE IF THE REINDEER JUST TAKES OFF WITHOUT THEM but i guess the elves can be helping them out... probably shaking their heads, like, tourists. ]
Mm, I think it's pretty intuitive? [ maybe... ] You nudge the reins the get the reindeer to go in the direction you want it to. And pull firmly back to slow down, right?

unfortunately, he tugs a little too hard because the last reindeer is just barely finished being linked up when all of them immediately make a run for it, dashing out of the stables and heading for a hill. ]
she's distracted from whatever she was going to say when the sled suddenly lurches. GAH! is about all he gets as she grabs onto the side of their sick ride in surprise. the sled probably jostles a little as they speed forward on the ground. ]
