[ me wondering where this tag went as i fish it out of a completely different inbox. ]

...it's been a week. Now that we've seen just about everything we might be up against, what do you think of it all?
lambda shifts up on the couch a little, not that she was slouching but she had been lying back a bit. ]
The trial is the most troublesome part of it all, but everything else isn't so out of my expectations. [ well. ] The getting locked in part, I could do the most without. Otherwise, it all seems to have a kind of procedure, as much as I hate to call anything here that.
... It's something people will have to become used to.
he's leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, mostly watching her and taking all of that into consideration. ]
The new question is if people are still going to be caught off-guard and end up somewhere other than their warehouses the next time this happens. [ there will always be a next time. any time blood is shed, it's a domino effect, eventually. ] It does feel really scheduled though. You have to wonder if it was always going to be this way even if it wasn't her to start this.
[ but...then there's also that. ]
And you have to wonder if people are going to be able to get used to it, and what'll happen if they don't.
It depends on how optimistic people want to be, if they think a team or individual will wait it out still. Or if they think they won't be targeted or could fend off their attacker. The trial is everyone trying to look for the culprit, so whoever takes action would have to confident or... [ as impatient as yang guifei. ]
The Reapers keep saying the point increase is significant enough even if they don't give the amount, so I think even if it wasn't Yang Guifei, it would be someone eventually.
[ some people here don't hide they're okay with killing, and even if they do, that still means they're okay with killing. ]
You get used to it, or you break.
[ it's a blunt assessment, but she doesn't see another outcome. if someone doesn't adapt, it doesn't bode well. ]
It's going to be against two types of people, eventually. People who're optimistic and will try to get all of us to work together and find a loophole for the game, and people who will take those people out because they seem like easy targets. And that's the problem I have with that.
[ there are probably some overconfident people who think they won't be attacked or could fight back, but he's more concerned about people who are unaware entirely. ]
We always knew it'd happen once it was announced it was an option. [ ... ] I asked the reapers are lot of questions about how it all works to try and get an idea what we can expect. None of it's really promising no matter who you are.
As the weeks go by and more Erasures happen, it'll be harder for those people to cling onto their notions that no one will be killing. Hope is strong, but optimism isn't. [ unless you're a fool, but she thinks that's understood. ] If they continue to be in denial even after a second or third time, there's not much that can be done.
[ that kind of denial? needs more than omnipresent girl help. they all get knocked out during murder hours based off of ygf's murder, so the hands are tied. ]
Evening the playing field for everyone makes the odds equally not great, but I suspect they're worse for people who go out of their to paint a target on their backs.
[ he doesn't necessarily disagree with all of this. i wish he would. but he really is out here thinking lambda makes sense with this so he nods. optimism will get you only so far before your fight or flight system needs to kick in. ]
As someone without any sort of buff of my own? I can't say I'm sad we're evening the field. [ hah. ] What would you consider a target...?
but also he sort of laughs just a little at that. ]
You really don't think much of him, do you? [ rang had said some things about lambda and now he's really thinking maybe he deserves however she treats him. ] ...it's the latter I'm a lot less happy with. Considering none of us, like, asked to start playing this game it's already putting a few people at a huge disadvantage.
[ but...this is a competition. he can't spend all of his time worrying about other people all the time. ]
I don't dislike him half as much as some others do. [ this is true. she doesn't mind rang that much. she's used to more annoying characters. ] It's an objective observation. He acts in a way that causes trouble, and he's doing most of it on purpose.
[ she isn't saying it meanly, but she doesn't think she needs to mince her words when it comes to rang. ]
None of this is fair, but it is less fair to those who've only known peace. I don't know how much there is to be done about it.
[ but lambda isn't one who cares too much for fairness in the first place. ]
He's interesting. [ he says in a tone to indicate this is neither a good or a bad thing. rang is simply here and someone he keeps talking to. ] It was pretty obvious though, especially if you think about what happened that first day with the reapers. Kind of surprised more people haven't tried to beat him up, but probably because he'd just try to fight back.
[ anyway... ]
The only thing that could be done is arranging for combatants to take out other combatants but. Organized erasures don't seem like the kind of thing that'll really catch on.
We're in a game designed for us to take each other out, and then place the blame on each other by trying to lie and get away with it. I kind of wish I could disagree, but...it's not looking great.
[ better to be realistic about it, at least. ]
But we know what to look for next week now, so...here's hoping we aren't caught off-guard by anything else. [ he says, as new rules, dangerous mini-events and a cyoa return happens. ]
We'll see. [ which can be to both the first part and for the second part. but he lets her get up and waves her off. good talk lambda also yes i'm running at you first thing tomorrowish. ]
