[ well. it is not touch week anymore, but he does sort of awkwardly clap him on the--arm. livio's fucking tall. there, there. ]
It's nice. It's one of those things I think people should get to see at least once. [ and given what he knows about the space wild west, he could believe they really would have never seen flora like this. ] Wanna look around? The park's pretty big. We can...look at trees and stuff.
Not really, no. I kind of like this sort of thing. It's a lot like home? So it's fine. [ so he gestures with his head, an invitation for livio to follow. they can walk the perimeter of the park! ]
I mean...home was more like forests and stuff, so not as structured as this, but it's close enough.
I wouldn't say I'm, like, really an outdoors-y type person but...yeah. I can at least appreciate it for what it is. Some parts of nature are a little creepier, like the woods that're overgrown with all kinds of stuff or potentially rabid animals or...other stuff. [ like ghosts. ] But things like this or more open areas can be really nice. You can just sort of...not worry about other stuff going on, sometimes.
Yeah. A lot less distractions, most of the time. [ oxygen...amazing. ] Depends on the woods though. There aren't any lights in a forest, and with the way trees grow they can block out all sun or moonlight. You never know what's actually out there either.
You could, but the trees in forests are a lot taller than any of the trees in the park. Definitely way taller than you, too. Some of them are hundreds of feet.
You'd probably lose your mind in places like the jungle then. The whole place is full of trees and vines and plants that you can't even tell what's what anymore.
Maybe someday. [ he's not sure how possible it is, but maybe someday livio will get a chance to see new places or new things. or maybe they'll all get thrown in a jungle here. hell if he knows anymore. ]
But yeah. There are some countries that're pretty much nothing but forests and jungles. Islands, too. But we also have deserts and oceans and other things that make up the whole planet.
It's weird to hear it described as the Old World when it's the only world I've known. [ pointing it out gently. ] There's a lot of it I've only seen in pictures, too. But I guess having the option itself is nice.
Well...maybe when those ships reach you you can hitch a ride and go see another world. Even if the journey's long, it could be worth it? Just to see something new.

he seems to have some sort of understanding though. ]
...probably more than you've ever seen, right? Vash told me a little about the place you guys are from.
no subject
[ but yeah, he is.... looking a little emotional, actually. not crying or anything, but. wow. this is a lot to take in ]
I never thought I'd.... see anything like this...

[ space mad max is truly the worst. livio gives him a big smile ]
Are ya sure this isn't boring for you...?
[ if he has all this at home. but he's more than happy to explore with jonas if jonas is willing ]

I mean...home was more like forests and stuff, so not as structured as this, but it's close enough.

[ livio falls into step with him easily ]
That still sounds pretty nice. Ya like nature a lot, Jonas?

[ walking out into the park... taking in the oxygen.... ] What's so creepy about the woods, though?
no subject
no subject
[ but livio thinks the desert is much creepier at night than anything else ]
Ya can't just climb a tree to see?
no subject
You could, but the trees in forests are a lot taller than any of the trees in the park. Definitely way taller than you, too. Some of them are hundreds of feet.

[ holy crap ]

[ it sounds exciting ]
And you just have them in your world? Forests and jungles like that?

But yeah. There are some countries that're pretty much nothing but forests and jungles. Islands, too. But we also have deserts and oceans and other things that make up the whole planet.
[ so. give or take. ]
no subject
I heard a bit about it... in the Old World. [ as wolfwood would say ] Saw some pictures, but never saw it myself.
Must be nice to have all that.

Maybe ya can go traveling once all this is over.
[ livio assigns jonas endgame ]

[ but more importantly: ] There isn't a way for you guys to find another planet at all, is there? Or somewhere that isn't quite so...sandy.
no subject
[ lightly pressing, but he'll back off if jonas doesn't want to talk about it ]
Uh.... dunno. There are ships from Earth coming over, so.... I guess maybe?
[ but it's complicated af ]
no subject
[ he tilts his head curiously at that though. ]
How far is Earth from you anyway...?
no subject
Dunno the exact distance, but it's... extremely far. [ like galaxies far. or something. don't ask me to science trigun ]

[ if the ships make it. their resident supervillain is trying to destroy them. but he doesn't want to bring down the mood ]
Ya should go traveling after ya finish school, too. if ya want.
no subject
[ likewise, he does not want to talk about the future because that's a moodkiller. but, since this is from w1: ]
Come on. Let's do a full lap so you can see everything. [ and we can handwave that they went on a walk around the park! ]
