I tried asking Ruby about the whole...not remembering how we died thing. She said it wasn't uncommon and that some people can remember but others might now. Maybe that's true, but for it to happen to forty people in the exact same way is way, way too suspicious. Even if it's not the reapers specifically but somebody above them.

It's less of an issue if you think of it in terms of it being just something that happened. But when it's possible that something happened between how you died and how you got here...kind of makes it a little more important.
It could’ve been a number of things. I’m dead, ultimately, so how it happened’s less of an issue. There may be no way of knowing what happened between how we died and how we got here, because we died to kickstart it.
